Description
We use only top-quality UK Beef and Trim it to be free from sinew and bad fat. We then take this beautiful clean meat and Hand Cut it into strips. Strips are then cured with vinegar and special spices for a set duration. (Family Secret). Strips are then hung to air dry in an environment created and monitored to replicate the Kalahari/South Africa winter conditions. With a lot of love and care, it produces the perfect Biltong the way it was created back in 1880 by the Dutch.
We do use preservatives in the process to make sure it stays safe from harmful bacteria’s like clostridium botulinum… (These preservatives date back to the 1800s when ships had no fridges)
